Ada Eveline Chipps

Ada Eveline Chipps, 74, of Masontown, died peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family during the early hours of Sunday morning, January 18, 2015.
Ada was born in Masontown on September 30, 1940; a daughter to the late George William and Wanita Agnus (Ayersman) Smith.
Ada was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, who devoted her life to her family.
She is survived by six sons, Paul Chipps,Jr. and wife Peggy, of Masontown; Kevin Chipps and wife Anna, of Masontown; Kenny Chipps and wife Margaret Ann, of Howesville; David Chipps and wife Susan, of Indiana; Darrell Chipps and wife Tammy, of Masontown; Michael Chipps and wife Amanda, of Bruceton Mills; one daughter, Melissa Gamble and husband Robert, of Masontown. Ada is also survived by one brother, Dennis Smith and wife Brenda, of Masontown; and four sisters, Deloris Hess and husband Robert, of Bretz; Shirley "Sis" Hess, of Bretz; Rosemary Leone, of Virginia; and Dixie Metheny and husband Bill, of Masontown.
In addition to her parents, Ada was preceded in death by her beloved husband of forty-nine years, Paul Joseph Chipps, on October 19, 2013; three brothers, Don, Bob, and June Smith; two infant granddaughters, and two infant brothers.
Friends will be received at the Morgan Funeral Home in Reedsville on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm; and again on Wednesday, January 21, 2014 from Noon until the time of the 1pm funeral service with the Reverend Kelly Gamble officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Masontown. The family wishes to express a special thanks to Hospice Care Corporation.
