Gerold Robert "Butch" Lininger

Gerold Robert "Butch" Lininger, 76, of Arthurdale, entered into eternal rest on Monday October 16, 2017 at Preston Memorial Hospital in Kingwood.

He was born March 8, 1941 in Westover, a son of the late Paul and Donice (Sloan) Lininger.

Butch worked as a welder in construction and as an electrician for AT&T. He was a member of the Preston Lodge # 90 AF&AM. He was very mechanically inclined and could fix or work on anything.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-five years, Nancy (Knight) Lininger, of Arthurdale; one daughter, Kimberly (Lininger) Sholes and husband John; three grandchildren, Tyler, Kyle, and Aivita, all of Kings Mountain, NC; sister, Betty Bush, in CA.

In addition to his parents, a brother, James and two sisters, Jennie Shaffer and Joann Guthrie, preceded him in death.

Friends may call at the Morgan Funeral Home in Reedsville on Thursday from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 pm and again on Friday October 20, 2017 from 10 until the time of the 11 a.m. funeral service with Rev. Brian K. Long officiating.

Interment will follow in the Arthurdale Cemetery where the Preston Lodge #90 AF & AM will accord Masonic graveside rites.
