Ada Opal (Sharps) Annon of Newburg went to be with the Lord Friday December 9th 2016, ten days before her 97th birthday, at Monongalia General Hospital. Born on Scotch Hill, a daughter of the late Henry Sank and Nora Mae (Larew) Sharps. She was married 46 years to the late Franklin Annon who died December 6, 1988. She loved gardening, canning, baking, quilting, and attending all church functions. She was a member of the Bethel Church on Scotch Hill where she went to Sunday school as a child and later taught Sunday School. In later years she attended the York's Run church.
Survivors include: two sons Donald Lee and Susan Annon, Ronnie Keith Annon and one daughter Ruth Elaine Taylor all of Newburg; one brother Carl Sharps of Southington, Ohio and one sister Naomi Smeltzer of Warren, Ohio; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband 4 sisters and 8 brothers preceded her in death.
Friends may call at the Morgan Funeral Home in Reedsville on Saturday December 10th 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and again on Sunday December 11th from noon to 2 p.m. the time of funeral services with Pastor Rodney Phillips and Reverend Marcy Taylor officiating. Interment at Evansville Cemetery.
