Betty Kathleen (Metheny) Walls

         Betty Kathleen (Metheny) Beveridge Walls 88, of Reedsville entered into eternal rest on Thursday November 23, 2017. She was born August 22, 1929 in Kingwood a daughter of the late Carl Anderson and Emma Marie (Teets) Metheny. She was a member of the Reedsville United Methodist Church, former president of the United Methodist Women, and had been a Sunday school teacher.

Betty worked as a machine operator for Pittsburgh Valve and as a Nannie for many including the Bell, Brewer, Strahin, and Hawkins families.

Betty was the matriarch of the ten Metheny siblings; only brothers Edward of Reedsville and Francis of Kingwood survive her. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by: five brothers Robert, Ralph, Allen Dale, Gail, and Carlton Ray Metheny; four sisters Grace Taylor, Mary Catherine Nice, Evelyn Teets, and Edna Wilkerson; husbands Richard Beveridge and Elmer Walls.
