Carleton Ray Metheny

Carleton Ray Metheny 73, of Reedsville passed away Monday April 10th 2017 at his home. He was born July 27th 1943, in Terra Alta, a son of the late Carl and Emma (Teets) Metheny. He worked at Kingston Charcoal in Parsons, Sterling Farms, and retired from Jenn-Mar. Carleton loved the outdoors especially hunting.
He Is survived by his wife Carolyn (Stone) Metheny; a daughter Diane Metheny; four step-children Teresa Phillips, Lisa Cale, Marsha Ellison, Mark Ellison and their families; a sister Betty Walls; two brothers Edward and Francis Metheny.
He was preceded in death by his son Carleton "Skipper" Metheny; five brothers Bob, Richard, Ralph, AllenDale, and Gail; two infant brothers; five sisters Hilda Squires, Evelyn Tietz, Edna Wilkerson, Mary Catherine Nice, and Grace Taylor.
Friends may call at the Morgan Funeral Home in Reedsville on Thursday April 13th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and on Friday April 14th from 12 noon until the 1:00 pm funeral service with Pastor Marty Turner officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, near Terra Alta.
