Elsie Mildred Danser 87, of Reedsville was called home to be with her Lord and loved ones on Sunday April 21st 2019. Born in Reedsville on July 19th 1931 to the late Amos and Elma Ferguson, she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. After graduating from Valley High School, she remained as high school secretary for two years, before taking a job at Olin Mathieson Chemical Plant until it closed. After a few years of employment at West Virginia University Hospital she began working for Sterling faucet where she eventually retired. Elsie loved to sew, draw house plans, and gardening. Her biggest joy in life was her grandchildren and her yearly trips to Virginia, visiting with her relatives. She is survived by her two daughters: Vanette Broadstock, of Reedsville and Donna (Lori) Shaffer and companion Mark Readd of Masontown; four grandchildren: Robert Danser, Jason Erbe, Jessica and Steven Watkins all of Reedsville Kathleen and Glenn Blon of Morgantown; four great-grandchildren: Dominic and Jasmine Danser and Trinity and Allena Blon; one brother Harry Ferguson; brother-in-law Raymond Strahin both of Reedsville; sister-in-law's Faith Danser and Pamela and Donald Weaver; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Everett (Joby) Danser; three brothers: John Ferguson and two infant brothers; sister Beulah Strahin; two son-in-law's: Robert (Boat) Shaffer and Thomas Broadstock; great-grandson Trey Scott Danser; brother-in-law Gerald (Jerry) Danser; and sister-in-law Isabel Ferguson According to her last wishes she will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on May 18th at Mount View Cemetery, Tunnelton. In lieu of flowers the family asks donations be made to WV Caring, P.O. Box 760, Arthurdale, WV 26520.
