Percy Ray Cale

Percy Ray Cale, 84, of Snake Hill Road, Masontown, passed away on Monday, October 13, 2014, at his home. Percy was born on April 20, 1930, in Masontown, a son of the late Alva Foster and Gertrude Olive (Mayfield) Cale.
Percy served in the United States Army from 1946 to 1949 with an honorable discharge from the 703rd Military Police Battalion. He was a long-time member of the Valley Sportsman Association. He retired from Greer Limestone in 1975 and was the owner and operator of Percy Cale Trucking until 2011. Percy enjoyed farming, spending time with family and friends, and square dancing back in the day.
Percy is survived by his wife of sixty-five years, Thelma Cale; four sons and spouses: Larry and Pam Cale, Gary and Margie Cale, Michael and Sherry Cale, and Terry and Diana Cale, all of Masontown; eleven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter, and his favorite little buddy, Sami. He is also survived by a brother, Earl Cale and wife Ruby, and a sister, Nina Huggins, all of Masontown.
In addition to his parents, Percy was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph Cale and George Cale, and a sister, Alta McClure.

Friends will be received at the Morgan Funeral Home in Reedsville on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm; and again on Thursday, October 16, 2014, from 11am until Noon.
Funeral services will be held in the funeral home's chapel at Noon, Thursday, with the Reverend William Winston and Reverend Ray Frankhouser officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Masontown. In lieu of flower memorial contributions may be sent to Preston County Animal Shelter, 278 Poor Farm Rd, Kingwood, WV 26537.
