Nina Virginia (Cale) Huggins

Nina Virginia (Cale) Huggins, 90, of Masontown, passed away peacefully during the early morning hours of Saturday, February 28, 2015, at her home surrounded by her loving family, and under the care of Hospice.
She was born June 8, 1924, in Masontown; a daughter of the late Alva Foster and Gertrude Olive (Mayfield) Cale.
Nina was employed by the Preston County Board of Education as a cook in the Valley District until her retirement in 1988. She also owned and operated Valley Mobile Home Court in Star City from 1977 until 2000. She attended the Sturgiss United Methodist Church in Masontown.
Nina loved spending time with her family. She was an exceptional culinary connoisseur who loved cooking, canning and baking. Her home was always open for Sunday and various holiday dinners.
She will always be remembered as a kind and loving person who devoted her life to her family and taking care of others.
Nina is survived by her son: Marvin Huggins and fiancé Theresa Roman, of Masontown, with whom she made her residence; a daughter, Carolyn Shultz and companion, Arthur Lee Davis, of Reedsville; five grandchildren: Melanie Ball (Richard), Trent Huggins (Aimie), Travis Huggins (Danielle), all of Masontown; Jennifer Shultz (Marino Saveri, III), of Kunkletown, PA; and Brian Shutlz (Alissa), of Sunbury, OH; eight great-grandchildren: Blake, Cameron, Tanner, Aiden and Addison Huggins; and Ethan, Emma, and Adelynn Shultz.
In addition to her parents, Nina was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert L. "Bill" Huggins, 1977; and her daughter-in-law, Dora Huggins 2011.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, having been preceded in death by her sister, Alta McClure; four brothers: George Cale; Ralph Cale; Percy Cale ; and Earl Cale.
Friends will be received at the Morgan Funeral Home in Reedsville on Monday, March 2, 2015 from 2-8pm and again on Tuesday, March 3, 2015, from 11am until the time of the funeral services in the funeral home's chapel at 12 Noon with Pastor Gregory S. Cummings officiating. Interment will follow in the Masontown Cemetery.
