Adam William Phares, 19, of Clarksburg, passed away, Wednesday, July 25, 2012. He was born February 8, 1993 in Clarksburg the son of Joseph P. and Dora R. Phares of Clarksburg and Charlene A. Anderson Ortiz and German J. Ortiz of Cleveland, OH. In addition to his parents, he is survived by three brothers; James M. Phares of Clarksburg, Thomas J. Phares, II of Clarksburg , Alex C. Phares of Cleveland, OH; two sisters; Megan I. Counts of Clarksburg and Samantha A. Phares of Grafton; maternal grandparents; Charles and Judy Kirby Anderson of Mt. Clare; paternal grandparents; Juneice J. Phares and the late Thomas Joe "Bud" Phares of Clarksburg; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Adam was enlisted in the United States Army where he obtained the rank of PFC/E3. He began his training in Little Rock AK for schooling, then went to Fort Benning, GA for Basic training and was most recently at Ft. Leonard Wood, MO for AIT Training. He had been deployed to Logan County twice for flood relief, once in 2011 and again in 2012. Adam enjoyed fishing, swimming, joking around and making people laugh. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Family and friends will be received at the Davis Funeral Home, One Olen Thomas Drive, Rt. 98, Clarksburg from 1-8pm Sunday, where services will be held on Monday, July 30, 2012 at 11:00a.m. with the Pastor Dan Cope officiating.
