Albert Howard Tasker

Albert Howard Tasker, 69, of Newburg, WV, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at United Hospital Center. He was born on July 25, 1955, in Baltimore, MD, the son of the late Mahlon Denver Tasker and Lavelle Ruth (Vanskiver) Tasker.

Albert is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Sharon A. (Guesford) Tasker; his daughter, Angela Murray and her partner Larry; his brother, Denver Tasker; brother-in-law, Terry Guesford; and son-in-law, Charlie Cook. He was the cherished grandfather of Andrew Murray, Jordan Murray, and Chevelle Cook and was loved by many other in-laws, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Albert was preceded in death by his daughter, Dawn Cook; his brother, Clifton Tasker; and his sister, Darlene Tasker.

A hardworking and dedicated man, Albert was the owner and operator of AT Garden Center, where he spent 35 years as a landscaper before retiring. He was an avid collector, drawn to cars, especially Fords, and an assortment of skulls and other unique items. Albert enjoyed shooting pool, fishing, and savoring a good cup of coffee. He had a deep love for his family and his loyal pets, Spots and Sophie.

Honoring Albert’s wishes, he will be cremated, and services will be held at a later date.
