Barbara Lee Ash Davis, of Rt 4. Clarksburg, beloved wife of Patrick Davis, went to be with our heavenly father on April 10, 2013 at United Hospital Center following an extended illness in her 70th year. She was born August 6, 1942 in Big Issac, WV; daughter of the late John Beveryln and Vonda Ash Richards. Her father was killed in the line of duty serving in WWII in 1942 in the United States Air Force and was shot down over Germany. She was raised by her grandparents, the late Lester and Hazel Ash also of Big Issac. In addition to her husband of 53 years she is survived by three children, Patrick (Mike) Davis and wife Sandy; Martin (Sean) Davis and wife Jackie; Laura (Beth) Davis Martin and husband Mitch; six grandchildren, Jason Smith and wife Amy; Dakota Davis; Stacy Martin; Sarah Davis; Shelby Bradford; Bob Bradford; great grandson, Jacob Smith; sister, Jerry Lou Bump, of Ohio; brother, Dyton Richards and wife Roweena, of Parkersburg; five sister-in-laws; Lois Jean Scott; Joan Terango; Eleanor Casler; Sandra Davis; Terry Bullough and many nieces and nephews. She was baptized at the Big Isaac Methodist Church where she was actively involved in the 4-H, Boy Scouts and was a Sunday school teacher. She was an avid reader on many subjects, a wonderful cook, loved various types of needlework, and enjoyed gardening. Memorial service at Davis Funeral Home on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 3:00PM with Reverend Ron Johnson officiating. Immediately following the services a bereavement dinner at the New Life Fellowship Church on Brushy Fork Road. Final resting place will be on the farm where Barbara and her husband raised their family and spent most of their married lives together.
