Barbara J Johnson

Barbara J Johnson, 78 of Long Run Road Salem passed away Friday, June 1, 2012 at United Hospital Center. She was born March 7, 1935 in Snowville, NH, daughter of the late Leonard Sr. and Dora DeWitt Strong. She is survived by her husband, Richard "Dick" Johnson; four children, Vicki Plant and Roger, Barrington, NH, Pam Orluk and Al, Stafford, NH, Chester Small and Teresa, Derry, NH, and Stormie Johnson, Salem; two step-daughters, Christina Johnson, Westminster, MD and Tracy Belski, Union Bridge, MD; eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren, two step-grandchildren; one brother, Leonard Strong Jr and Ruth, Rochester, NH. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one infant son, Edmund Small Jr; one sister, Alice Nason. Barbara was a homemaker, she enjoyed cooking, crocheting, sewing and listening to music. She loved spending time with family and friends. She was a member of the Blacklick Baptist Church. Family and friends will be received at the Greathouse Funeral Home, Salem on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 from 1:00 pm until time of service at 2:00 pm with the Reverend Robert D Marino officiating.
