Betty Lou (Evans) Shaver, 83, of Route 1, Grafton, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2013, at Grafton City Hospital. She was born March 22, 1929, in Taylor County, a daughter of the late Vance L. Evans, and Minnie (Bragg) Evans Colebank. Her husband Ralph Junior Shaver, preceded her in death October 29, 1995.
Mrs. Shaver was a homemaker, and a loving and caring mother of nine children. She worked as waitress at various restaurants, worked at Hazel Atlas, and the former Grafton Manufacturing (Shirt Factory). She was a member of the Grafton Baptist Church, and the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Surviving are: three sons, Paul R. Shaver, Worthington, Ralph E. Shaver and wife Michelle, of Eldersburg, MD, and Timothy L. Shaver, of Grafton; two daughters, Mary Morgan and husband Travis, of Atlanta, IL, and Cheryl Shaver McLaughlin, of Clearwater, FL; eight grandchildren, Uriah Shaver and wife Kyla, Corey Shaver, Devin Shaver, Thomas Shaver, Beverly Turpin and husband Todd, Tracey Morgan, Crystal Morgan, Michael Shaver and wife Savannah; eight great grandchildren, Alysia, Corey, Kayla, Maranda, Ebony, Tori, Jade, and Aniya; two great great grandchildren, J.J. , and Alicia.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by: four sons, James P. Shaver, Michael L. Shaver, Charles W. Shaver, Robert A. Shaver; and one brother Harley V. Evans
Friends may call at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave., Grafton, on Tuesday from 3-8 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 16, 2012, at the funeral home, with Pastor Don Harward officiating. Interment will follow at Woodsdale Memorial Park.
