Betty Lou Tate

Betty Lou Tate, 51 formally of Meadowbrook passed away Friday, March 8, 2013 at her residence in Hepzibah following an extended illness. She was born February 19, 1962 in Clarksburg, WV the daughter of the late John Paul and Mary Evelyn Crayton Welch. She is survived by her husband of 20 years Rocky Tate whom she married July 4, 1992. In addition to her husband she is survived by one son: Rocky Lee Tate of Hepzibah; one daughter: Angela "Angie" Jones husband Dorsey of Wallace; two grandsons Kobe; and Dorsey Jr. Jones whom live at home; two granddaughters: Makayla and Malinda Jones whom live at home; five brothers; Jeff and wife Liz; Carl; Jimmy; Donald; Chuckie Welch; four sisters Carol Owens; Sharon Reed; Martha Watson; and Mary Epherson; She was preceded in death by five brothers; Ephriam B; David; Paul; Eugene; and Mike Welch; two sisters; Debbie Doughty; and Dorthy McFee. She enjoyed sports, crocheting, her true joy was taking care of elderly, she was Pentecostal by faith. Family and friends will be received at Dorsey Funeral Home, 701 S. Pike St. Shinnston, Monday 2-8 pm where services will be held Tuesday March 12, 2013 at 11 am with Jimmy Glaspell speaking. Interment will follow at the Shinnston Masonic Cemetery.
