Carl V. Smith

Carl V. Smith Jr., of Lost Creek, passed peacefully March 27, 2013 at his residence in his 95th year. He was born June 22, 1917 in Lost Creek; son of the late Carl V. Smith and Nora Eva Williams Smith. He is survived by daughter, Mary Lou Smith of Lost Creek; four grandchildren, Martha Straley; Robert Straley; Charles Straley all of Lost Creek; Jean Straley of Lebanon, TN; one great grandson, Phillip Rabanal of Lost Creek; and niece Donna Jean Bradman. In addition to his parents Carl was preceded in death by his wife, Sadie L. Smith; one daughter, Cora Mae Smith; sister, Pauline Boone; and brother Paul Smith. Carl was the owner and operator of a fleet of trucks and was a full time farmer. He enjoyed life on the farm and was a Christian by faith. Visitation Thursday, March 28, 2013 from 2:00-8:00 PM at Davis Funeral Home; service Friday, March 29, 2013 at 1:00PM in the Davis Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bill Stutler officiating.
