Charles Donzel Reed

Charles D. Reed, 86, of Route 2, Bridgeport passed away Friday, July 27, 2012 at Crestview Manor in Jane Lew following an extended illness. He was born May 24, 1926 in Nutter Fort, son of the late Clair Allen Reed and Hattie Limer Reed. He was preceded in death by his wife Charleen L. Leemasters Reed in 1996, whom he married September 30, 1967. He is survived by two sons, Charles Daniel Reed and wife Marian of Bridgeport; Joshua Ray Reed of Clarksburg; two daughters Pamela Coleman and husband Dave of Summerville; Melissa Dawn Edwards and husband David of Ansted; six granddaughters; Latosha and Lorena Coleman; Riviera, Santanna, Kayley and Katareena Reed, one great grandson; Kaleb Bragg along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by one brother James Reed and one sister Pauline Tolbert. Charles worked at Black Rock for 38 years and retired from Repco where he worked for 12 years. Family and friends will be received at Dorsey Funeral Home, 701 S. Pike Street, Shinnston, from 2-8pm Monday, where services will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, July 31, 2012 with Reverend Gary Carr officiating. Interment will be held at Big Run, Leemasters Family Cemetery where full military graveside rites will be conducted by the Harrison County Honor Guard.
