Cynthia Elaine Burdett

Cynthia Elaine Burdett, 63, of West Union, WV passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at United Hospital Center. She was born March 13, 1949 in Stafford, VA, daughter of the late Vernon A. and Cora Smith Embrey. She is survived by two daughters, Tina Thornton and fiancé Carl Wyatt of Clarksburg, WV and Elizabeth Haddock and husband James of West Union; five grandsons, Matthew Haddock, Steven Thornton, Michael Thornton, Ryan Haddock, and Andrew Haddock; one brother Narvel Embrey of Virginia. She was preceded in death by one brother, Edwin Embrey and one sister, Verlie Embrey. Cynthia was a homemaker and was an avid nature watcher. Her favorite was birds, squirrels, and deer. She was Baptist by faith. Family and friends may call Greathouse Funeral Home, Salem, WV from 1:00 pm until time of service at 3:00 pm. Inurnment will follow at a later date in Virginia.
