Delmas Wayne Mayle

Delmas Wayne Mayle, of Clarksburg, passed peacefully, June 9, 2013, at his residence in his 64th year. He was born February 17, 1949 in Clarksburg the son of the late Sherman Lindsey Mayle and Dessie Jane Kennedy Mayle. He is survived by his wife Cheryl Heater Mayle whom he married June 30, 2001. In addition to his wife he is survived by three daughters; Alana Mayle and companion Robert Genteel, Jesse Lynn Mayle and Patricia Ann Mayle, all of Clarksburg; seven siblings; Shelba McGarry and husband Joseph of Bellerica, MA, Carolyn King and husband Bobby of Alamo, TN, April Davis of Cleaveland, TN, Sherman Mayle, Jr. and wife Julie of Dover, DE, Martha Sanford of Clarksburg, Donna Mink and husband Pete of Nashville, TN and Donald Rhoden of Sellersville, PA and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister Patricia Ann Russell. Delmas was an Industrial Arts Teacher at Van High School in Boone County, he was a former member of the Boy Scouts and a member of the Odd Fellows. He was an avid sports fan, like to fish with his friends and had a passion for music and loved to sing. He was also United States Air Force Veteran. Family and friends will be recieved at the Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Dr/Rt. 98, Clarksburg from 2:00-8:00PM Wednesday where services will be held Thursday at 11:30AM with the Reverend Bobby Bright officiating. Interment will follow in the West Virginia National Cemetery. Military Graveside Rites will be conducted by the Harrison County Honor Guard and Camp Dawson Honor Guard.
