Denver C. Beverly Sr. of Clarksburg, WV, beloved husband of Phyllis "Kay" Davisson Beverly, passed peacefully February 27, 2013 at the WV Veterans Nursing Facility in his 76th year. He was born September 13, 1936 in Wilsonburg; son of the late John Roy Beverly and Gladys Pearl Yates Beverly. In addition to his wife of 56 years he is survived by three children, Rebecca J. Beverly, Denver C. Beverly Jr., Chad E. Beverly all of Clarksburg; two grandchildren, Jason S. Coffindaffer and wife Angela of Fairmont, Lauren N. Blake and husband Robert of Fairmont; one great-granddaughter Aubree E. Coffindaffer; brother Melvin R. "Bud" Beverly and wife Phyllis J. of Clarksburg; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Denver was preceded in death by brother, James "Paul" Beverly. Denver was a proud Marine Corp Veteran that served in Lebanon. He spent 30 years of his life working for Verizon as a cable splicing technician. He loved fishing, hunting, animals and being outdoors. He was a member of the NRA. Denver was a lifetime member of the Isaac Creek Baptist Church. Visitation Friday, March 1, 2013 from 2:00-8:00 PM at Davis Funeral Home; service Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 12:00 PM in the Davis Funeral Home with Chaplin Johnny Payne officiating.
