Don was my 1st Platoon SGT for most of my tour in Vietnam while serving in B Troop, 3-4 Cavalry. We literally fought side by side in Vietnam and at memorable Michelein Rubber Plantation in August of 1968. He was a good NCO who never required of his men what he himself was not willing to do. So glad I was able to see him at one of our reunions. This world is a poorer place without him.
"Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends." - John 15:13
May Christ give comfort to the hearts of his many loved ones he leaves behind. Look to Jesus and see him again in heaven.

Don was my 1st Platoon SGT in B Troop, 3-4 Cavalry in Vietnam. He was everything that you wanted your NCOs to be - Brave, Resourceful, Dependable, Loyal. He usually had a smile on his face and he enjoyed a good laugh. We stayed in touch after Vietnam and I was able to see him at some of our reunions. I will miss him.
