Francis Metheny Obituary

Francis Arthur Metheny, 74, of Reedsville entered into eternal rest on Friday, March 5, 2021 from Mon Health Med Center in Morgantown. He was born June 20, 1946 in Rockville a son of the late Carl Anderson and Emma Marie (Teets) Metheny, being the youngest of 15 siblings, 9 boys and 6 girls.

Francis retired in 2001 from Hopemont Hospital after 32 years. He enjoyed visiting family and riding his motorcycle. He is survived by his eldest brother Edward Metheny of Reedsville and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: nine brothers John, Bob, Richard, Ralph, Allen Dale, Gail, and Carlton; six sisters, Evelyn Teets, Edna Wilkerson, Grace Taylor, Mary Katherine Nice, Betty Walls, and Hilda Squires. Following his wishes, cremated remains will be returned to his birthplace.
