Helen Grace Carder 76 of Glen Burnie, MD passed away Saturday, August 18, 2012 at her home following an extended illness. She was born on December 22, 1935 in Lumberport, daughter of the late Mabel and Felix Burke. Helen graduated from Lumberport High School, attended Salem College and Fairmont State. She was a homemaker and had lived in Maryland for over fifty years, where she was part of a bowling league. She is survived by her husband of fifty four years, Jack Carder, two daughters, Tammy Simering and husband Ron, Denton, MD, Melissa Walker and husband Aaron, Halethorpe, MD; four grandchildren, Jamie Simering, Amanda Teague, Mason Walker and Madison Walker; five great grandchildren, Lacy, Hailey, and Avery Simering, and Reagan and Brycen Teague; brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, Ronald and Patricia Carder, Salem, June Fudela, Johnstown, PA, Dick Stine, Florida; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Burke; sister-in-law, Joan Stine; brother-in-law, Ronald Fudala and nephew Eric Fudala. Family and friends may visit Greathouse Funeral Home, Wednesday, August 22, 2012 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Funeral service will be held Thursday, August 23, 2012 at 11:00am with the Reverend Vera Ann Swiger officiating. Interment will follow at the K of P Cemetery.
