Helen Jane "Sis" Knight

Helen Jane "Sis" Knight, 74 of Lost Creek went to be with her Lord from her residence on November 24, 2012 with family by her side. She was born October 8, 1938 in Shinnston, daughter of the late Virgil Guy and Lavinia Lucille Lucas Hardesty. Helen was a domestic engineer with a very large family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronzel Leo "Dead Eye" Knight. Surviving are her seven children, Lavinia " Vinnie" Minor and Danny " Dink", Shinnston, Franklin N "Buzzy" Stewart and Kimberely, McWhorter, WV, Cheryl D Lemmon and Gary Purcellville, VA, William "Todd" Stewart and Yetta Carr, Buckhannon, Rhonda L Lantz and Robert, Clarksburg, Tammy J Murphy and Patrick, Fairmont, and Timothy W Knight and Shawna Cumberledge, Reynoldsville; fifteen grandchildren, Kevin Minor, Danielle Moore, Adam Stewart, Jeremy Mayle, Crystal Bartlett, Kayla Lemmon, Justin Stewart, Jordan Titus, Cienna Allen, Matthew Sponaugle, Coleman Murphy, Nikki Knight, Haley Knight, Kelsey Cumberledge and Logan Knight; eleven, Brittany, Claudia, Adreona, Adam Jr., Tyler, Rhiannon, Nathaniel, Ethan, Aliyah, Brayden, Drake; good friend and lady Helen took care of for over thirty years, Sylvia "Syb" Evans, one sister, Donna Cullen and Tommy, and a brother-in-law, Edward "Dick" Drain, all of North Carolina. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister Irene Trent and one brother, William Hardesty and two siblings in infancy. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and cooking. Helen was Baptist by faith. Family and friends will be received at Davis Funeral Home, One Olen Thomas Dr, Rt. 98, Clarksburg from 2:00-8:00PM on Tuesday where services will be held at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, November 28, 2012. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
