Juneice "Niecey" June Phares of Clarksburg passed peacefully December 29, 2012 at home in her 70th year. She was born on August 12, 1942 in Clarksburg at St. Mary's; daughter of the late Charles Aaron and Nellie Mae Carder Gill. She is survived by three children; Joseph P. Phares and wife Dora, Clarksburg; Shawna Renee Layton and husband David of Jane Lew; Jason P. Phares and companion Mindy Stutler of Clarksburg, ten grandchildren, James, T.J., Cody, Megan, Alex, Eric, Samantha, Jordan, George, and Ean; three great grandchildren, Aiden, Addison and Shayna; two brothers, Maynard Gill, Clarksburg, Paul Gill, Reynoldsville, one sister, Margaret Cann, Bridgeport, numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Joe Phares in November 26, 1998; one son, Mark V Gill; one grandson, Adam Phares, three sisters, Pauline Cline, Dorothy Smallwood and Winona Carson; one brother, Warren Gill. Niecey was a homemaker and Baptist by faith. Visitation Tuesday, January 1, 2013 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Davis Funeral Home in Clarksburg; funeral service in funeral home chapel on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at 11:30 AM with Pastor Tim Sandy officiating.
