Linda Lee (Kovach) Cupp

Linda Lee Cupp, 77, of Masontown, WV, passed away on January 28, 2025.  Linda was born on June 2, 1947, in Morgantown, WV, the daughter of the late Steve Julius Kovach and Marie Emmoline Doan. Linda was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister whose warmth and love touched the lives of all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Ann Street and her husband Steve; her brother, Steve J. Kovach Jr.; her cherished grandchildren, Sarah and her husband Nathan Forman, and Steven Street II, along with his companion Maci; as well as her three adored great-grandchildren, Liam, Landon, and Jozy.

Linda’s career as a computer engineer for the Natural Resources Conservation Service of the U.S. Department of Agriculture was a source of pride, but her true joy came from her family.  Linda was a dedicated member of St. Zita catholic Church and an active member of the altar society. Linda had many passions—she loved knitting, crocheting, and was an active member of her Thursday morning bowling league.  She also enjoyed watching murder mysteries, captivated by the twists and turns of the stories. Above all, Linda found the most happiness in spending time with her family, especially during the Saturday dinners she hosted, where love and laughter filled her home.

In lieu of flowers, Linda’s family requests that donations be made to the Preston County Animal Shelter (278 Poor Farm Road, Kingwood, WV 26537) or the Masontown Volunteer Fire Department (362 North main St., Masontown, WV 26542). 

A visitation will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025, at Morgan Funeral Home, 13411 Veterans Memorial Hwy, Reedsville, WV, from 2:00-4:00 PM and 5:00-7:00 PM. A Catholic funeral service will take place the following day, Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 11:00 AM, officiated by MSGR. Samuel Sacus. Internment will follow at Masontown Cemetery at a later date.
