Lois "Peggy" Moore

Lois "Peggy" Moore of Lumberport passed away Monday, February 18, 2013 at her residence following an extended illness. She was born March 3rd 1953 in Flemmington Berry Run WV, the daughter of Sally Cottrill of Lumberport and the late William "Bill" Cottrill. She is survived by her husband Clarence "Butch" Moore; four daughters; April L. Ayers; Justine and Katlin Moore all of Lumberport; Carol Moore of Hepzibah; two sons Daniel "Danny" and Jeremiah Moore both of Lumberport; four grandsons; Cory and Corbin Ayers both of Lumberport; Shane Yeager of Meadowbrook; Dylan Yeager of Lumberport. One brother William Cottrill Jr. of Lumberport; six sisters Pam Snyder husband Troy of Shinnston; Elizabeth Stout of Lumberport; Mary Ann Jones and husband Harold of Wallace; Becky Long and husband Frankie of Lumberport, several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by one brother Ronnie Cottrill. Peggy was a member of Cambria New Covent Fellowship Church; she loved children, flowers and spending time with her family. She was a loving wife and mother; she was the owner of New Beginnings Child Care Center of Lumberport. Family and friends will be received at Dorsey Funeral Home, 701 S. Pike St., Shinnston, from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, where services will be held Thursday, February 21, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Alfred Duncan officiating. Interment will follow at the Lions Club Cemetery Lumberport. After services a gathering will be held in the Lumberport activities building, the old Fire Department.
