Lucille M. Matheny

Lucille M. Matheny, of Clarksburg, passed peacefully January 19, 2013 at United Hospital Center in her 86th year. She was born September 12, 1926; daughter of the late George Arlin Leggett and Birtie Alice Duncan Leggett. She was the wife of Kenneth L. Matheny who preceded her in death on June 6, 1999. She is survived by four children, Carole Greaver of Clarksburg, WV; Darlene Wright and husband Danny of Mount Clare, WV; James Matheny and wife Sharon of French Creek, WV; Brenda Stockert and husband Jon of Wallace, WV; nine grandchildren, Robert Dennison; Timothy Dennison; James Dennison; Amanda Davisson; Lorrie Morrison; Matthew Wright; Amy Matheny; Jessica Stockert; Jon Stockert; 17 great-grandchildren, Brittany Dennison; Josh Dennison; Ashley Liberatti; Hailey Liberatti; Paige Dennison; Emily Davisson; Megan Davisson; Hunter Davisson; Zach Davisson; Kayla Davisson; Mariah Stockert; Dylan Edwards; Tyler Matheny; Cheyenne Morrison; Skyler Morrison; Karlie Wright; Katie Morrison; six great-great-grandchildren, Cayden Dennison; Mariah Souchik; Alyssa Souchik; Camren Tetrick; Jeffrey McCloy; Makhi Dennison; one brother Edward Eugene Leggett and wife Patsy of Wallace, WV; two sisters Anna Tucker of Wallace, WV; Peggy Long and husband Buck of Meadowbrook, WV; and special furry friends T.T. and Ladybug. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one great-granddaughter, Breanna Nichole Davisson; one sister Betty Rosalie; three brothers, William Walter Leggett; Robert Denzil Leggett; and Earnest Arlin Leggett. She was a former member of the Upper Room Church and was a member of Branch of the True Vine Church. She especially enjoyed gardening, cultivating flowers and shopping. She was devoted to her family and especially loved her grandchildren and was a fine Christian lady. Visitation Tuesday, January 22nd from 2:00 - 8:00 PM at Davis Funeral Home; service Wednesday, January 23rd at 1:00PM at Davis Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Franklin Shreve officiating; Interment in Coplin Cemetery.
