.Margaret "Marie" Christie, 90, of Clarksburg, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2013 at the residence of her dear friend and caregiver for the past several years, Marianne Eubanks. She was born April 4, 1922, in Lumberport, daughter of the late Tallie Gail and Lillie Fortney Griffin. . Marie is survived by one nephew, David Griffin, Wyatt, WV; three nieces, Linda Snodgrass and Gary, Moundsville, WV; Paula Carson and Alan, Lewisburg, WV; LouAnn Snider, Wyatt, WV; two sister-in-laws, Virginia Griffin, Athens, OH, and Clara Jean Griffin, Wyatt, WV; caregiver Marianne Eubanks, Clarksburg; In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, William "Carl" Christie in October, 2002; brothers, Gail Griffin and Glen Griffin. Marie was a retired Service Representative for Verizon Wireless, with twenty five years of service. She was a member of the First Methodist Church, Clarksburg, WV, the garden club, and The Lady Bugs homemakers club. Visitation Tuesday, March 26, 2013 from 11:00AM until time of service at 1:00 PM in the Davis Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Rick Sale officiating. Interment in the Bridgeport Cemetery.
