Margie L Linger

Margie Louise Linger, 88 of Tunnelton, passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at Heartland of Preston County with family by her side. She was born March 25, 1924 Lewis County, daughter of the late William and Flora Allmon McCartney. Margie went to Nursing School and worked as a LPN for 2 years at Springfield State Hospital in MD and also had done in home care as well for 18 years. She enjoyed crocheting and playing bluegrass music on her guitar. Surviving are her three daughters, Shirley Hockensmith, of Littlestown, PA, Brenda Stevens, of Hagerstown, MD, Sharon Linger of Tunnelton; one son, Edwin Linger Jr. of West Minster, MD; twelve grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Margie was preceded in death by her husband Edwin L Linger in 1986, two grandchildren, one great-grandchild, two sisters, Ilene Shaver and Mae Bohonas; one brother, Elmer McCartney. Family will be received at Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown St. Newburg, WV, for private viewing and service. Pastor Dottie Thorn and Pastor Michele Kennedy will be officiating.
