Marilyn Elizabeth Cole, age 45, of Route 1, Grafton, was surrounded by her family when she became an angel, Friday, February 8, 2013, at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV. She was born February 10, 1967, in Fairmont, WV, a daughter of Kenneth Howard Cole, Sr., of Oskaloosa, KS, and Martha Alice (Grinnan) Cole Shanabarger, of Grafton, and her step father, the late Henry D. Shanabarger. Marilyn touched so many lives and was an inspiration to many; she was very loved and special to her relatives, friends, and all who knew her. She enjoyed shopping, dining out, family events, parties, and latch hook, and loved the beach. She will be remembered by her family as "our angel". She was a 1985 graduate of Grafton High School where she particularly enjoyed food service, and she was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church. In addition to her parents she is survived by: three siblings, Kenneth H. "Kenny" Cole, Jr. and wife Vickie, of Grafton, Roseann Cole Kenny, of Grafton, Mickey Cole, of Sarasota, FL; one niece, Christie Cole Collins and husband Todd, of Grafton; one nephew, Chad Drainer, of Morgantown; four great nieces, Mariah, Micah, Chloe, and Sophia Collins; two great nephews, Cole, and Jonah Collins; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. A very special thank you goes to Johnny Grinnan for filling her life with happiness. She was preceded in death by: her maternal grandparents Henry and Elizabeth "Grandma Lizzie", and her paternal grandparents Rosa and Dorsey Cole. Friends may call at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave., Grafton, on Sunday, February 10, 2013, from 4 - 8 PM, and Monday, February 11, 2013, from 2 - 8 PM. A prayer vigil will be conducted Monday evening at 7:30 PM by Deacon Ray Shaw. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 AM, Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at St. Augustine Catholic Church with Father Jim O'Connor as celebrant. Interment will follow at Mt.
