Marjorie Washburg 90, of Morgantown, passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2019, at Windy Hill Village – Assisted Living Facility in Kingwood, West Virginia.
Marjorie (Tolley) Washburg was born June 28 1928 in Birmingham, England where she grew up and attended school.
On January 4, 1948, she married Eben John Walter Washburg, a native of Eureka, Wisconsin who was stationed in England during WWII. They made their home in the Birmingham area where she was a seamstress during and after the war. In 1971, Marjorie, her husband and daughter moved to Richfield, Minnesota where she continued to work as a seamstress until she retired. Eben died in 1999.
She is survived by her daughter, Yvonne (Tom) Hempler and was preceded in death by her son John Leonard Washburg, her sister Mary Betty (Wilson), and her brothers Richard Leonard Tolley, Cyril Tolley, and Maurice Tolley.
