Mary Kathryn Barto

Mary Kathryn Barto, 81 of Newburg, WV passed away Friday, April 19, 2013 at Heartland of Preston County with family by her side. She was born April 11, 1932 in Newburg, daughter of the late James S and Cora Mae McGinnis Barto. Mary graduated from Newburg High School in 1950 and was the valedictorian of her class. She was a member of the Newburg United Methodist Church where she was very active and served as treasurer and was a member of the Methodist Women. She loved to read. Mary retired with 22 years from Wesbanco as a Personal Banker. Mary is survived by three brothers, Paul Barto and Edith, Blacksville, Robert Barto and Barbara, York, PA and William Barto and Eurondia, Dayton , Ohio; three sisters, Cookie M Burke and Bob, Reedsville, Faye McVicker and Robert, Fellowsville and Theresa Huffman and Jimmy, Fellowsville; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by four brothers, James, twin brothers, Donald and Ronald, and Joseph Barto. Family and friends will be received at Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown Ave. Newburg, WV, Sunday, April 21, 2013 from 2-6 pm, and Monday, April 22, 2013 from 9 am until time of service at 1 pm. Interment will follow at Damon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in her memory to Newburg United Methodist Church P.O. Box 183, Newburg, WV, 26410.
