Nancy Lee Kinney

Nancy Lee Kinney, 76 of Salem passed away Saturday, June 8, 2013 at Genesis Healthcare, Salem Center. She was born May 9, 1937, daughter of the late Samuel and Irene Glass Hoopengarner. She was a homemaker. She was married to the late James "Butch" Kinney who preceded her in death in November 2000. Nancy is survived by 2 children, Jimmy Kinney and Betty Kinney both of Salem; two grandchildren, Alan and Christopher Ash; great grandson, Blaine Alan Ash; one sister, Doris Parker, Clarksburg; one sister-in-law, Phyllis and Ronnie Purkey, Salem; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Jennifer Diane Ash in May 2004; one brother, Bill Hoopengarner; two sisters, Betty Hoopengarner and Caroline Patrick; brother and sister-in-laws, Georgia and Donald Dotson, Louise and Gary Rheinhardt and Jr Kinney; mother and father-in-law, Charles and Waveline Kinney. She was a member of the Salem Church of God. She enjoyed spending time with her children, reading her bible and doing word search puzzles. Family and friends will be received at Greathouse Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 from 4-8 pm and on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 from 9:00 am until time of service at 12 noon with Pastor Michael Cox officiating.
