Nancy Martin Obituary

     Nancy Louise (Smith) Martin, 82, of Reedsville, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, July 7, 2018 from Mon Health Medical Center with family by her side.

 

     She was born September 4, 1935, in Cascade; a daughter of the late Samuel David and Hattie Mae Smith.

 

     Nancy worked in the nursing industry as a Nurse’s Aide for many years. She was “a spark plug” whose feisty personality and quick wit endeared everyone she met. She was a member of the FOE Auxiliary and member and past president of the Reedsville Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary.

 

     Surviving are her three sons: Dale C. Martin and JoAnn; Jack D. Martin; Edgar C. Snyder, II; three daughters: Debra M. Hogge; Susie Martin and Ron; and Nancy (Snyder) Ord and Bob; sixteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; sister, Lelah Nuffer; former husband, Edgar Snyder and her beloved feline companion, Socks. 

    

     In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Dale C. Martin; three brothers: John, Horace and David; six sisters: Naomi Wamsley Cutright, Kathleen Brown, Ann Wolinksy, Mary Grace Blake, Norma Shaffer and Edith Cress Titus.

 

     Friends may call at the Morgan Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 from 4 until the time of the 7 p.m. Memorial Service with Pastor Marty Turner officiating.

     Private graveside services will be held in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, near Masontown.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
