Patty Lou Carter

Patty Lou Carter, 75, of Clark St, Shinnston, passed away on Sunday July 8, 2012 at her son's home in Jacksonville, NC. She was born April 23, 1937 in Flemington, WV; daughter of the late Chester Paul Lane and Eva Stella Tenney Lane. She was married on August 18, 1957 to Weldon Carter, who preceded her in death on October 19, 1993. Patty is survived by two sons; Paul Carter and wife Shela of Jacksonville, NC; James R "Jimmy" Carter and wife Mary of Fairfax, VA; one step son William "Bill" Carter and wife Barbara of Manassas, VA; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two sisters, Nancy Sue Tyyska of Racine, Wisconsin; Sharon "Sheri" Reed of Gypsy; one nephew. She was preceded in death by one brother, James Paul Lane; one sister, Laura Edaline Lane. Patty resided in the Washington, DC area for 30 years, where she worked for the Pentagon. Patty will be missed for her quick wit, happy disposition, gentle and kind heart to all. We love you Mom.
