Richard "Dick" Bjorkman

Richard "Dick" Hedlund Bjorkman 83, of Arthurdale entered into eternal rest on Saturday May 25, 2013 at Monongalia General Hospital with family by his side. He was born in Downing, WI on September 6th 1929 a son of the late Joseph and Olga Bjorkman. Dick was a trucker, coal operator, and heavy equipment operator. Preceding him in death was his wife of fifty-eight years Joann (Neely) Bjorkman and his brother Joseph Bjorkman. Survivors include: two daughters and spouses Janice and Robert Bates of Wilmington, NC and Jill and Michael Bianco of Fredericksburg, VA; one son and spouse Brian and Kelly Bjorkman of Johns Island, SC; two granddaughters Rosalyn and Ed George of Wilmington, NC and Sarah and Brad Harris of Lexington, SC; one step-grandchild Chris James; three great-grandchildren Cole and Reese George and Brady Harris; two step-grandchildren Kirkland and Julianna; one sister Mary Jones of Mansfield, OH; one brother S.L. "Bud" and Helen "Piggy" Bjorkman of Arthurdale; and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Morgan Funeral Home, Rt. 7 East Reedsville on Monday May 27, 2013 from Noon until 3:00 pm the time of Memorial services in the funeral home chapel with Dr. David D. Spence officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be sent to Reedsville United Methodist Church, P.O.
