Robert W Dulaney

Robert W. Dulaney, 38, of Salem passed away Sunday, July 29, 2012 at Ruby Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. He was born October 1, 1973, in Clarksburg, the son of Tommy K. and Lyndall L. Knight Dulaney, Salem. He graduated from Caroline High School in Bowling Green, VA in 1991. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Emily J. Day Dulaney whom he married August 25, 2001; two children, Thomas William Dulaney and Madison Nicole Dulaney at home Also surviving is one sister, Stephanie A. Dulaney and her companion Steve Konya, of Salem; sister-in-laws, Elizabeth (Clint) Harris of Spotsylvania, VA, Rebecca Day Buckingham, Stephina (Neil) Jones of Stafford, VA; mother-in-law, Alice V. Barker and husband Paul Buckingham; father-in-law, Lester W. Day of Morgantown; maternal grandmother, Gertrude Knight of Salem; nieces and nephews, Ty Dulaney, Tabitha, Bullock, Tina, Tanya, Alyssa, Brianna, Timothy, Aeryn, Katie, Spencer, and Daryl; special uncles, Jeffrey Knight and Cecil W. Knight and family, and aunt, Syonia Marks and family. Preceding him in death were his maternal grandfather, Cecil Knight, and paternal grandparents, Theoatis K. and Wilma J. Dulaney. Robert was a heavy equipment mechanic and was employed for the last six years with State Equipment. He enjoyed restoring old cars, riding his four-wheeler and playing with remote control cars. Friends will be received at Greathouse Funeral Home in Salem on Thursday, August 2, 2012 from 2-8 pm and Friday, August 3, 2012 from 9 until time of service at 11:00 am with Reverend Jon Hayes officiating.
