Roscoe Taylor

Roscoe Taylor, 94, of Masontown, WV, passed away on Sunday, March 14, 2021 at the home of his care giver, Judy Taylor. He was born October 17, 1926, the son of the late Goff and Stella Mayfield Taylor.

He is survived by his brother, Prentiss Taylor, Sr of Masontown, WV; his sister, Dottie (Taylor) Deahl of Reedville; two special nephews “Jody” Prentiss Taylor, Jr, and Robert Cobb and wife Ellen of Ohio; a special little girl, Taylin Wiles and two special little boys, Bretta Hershman and Weston Wiles, of Masontown- whom brightened up his days and shared cookies and bananas with him; many special neices and nephews; special care givers, Kim and Penelope Shaffer and Adriana and Amanda Long.

In addition to his parents, Roscoe was preceded in death by three brothers, Clifford, Leland, and Willie Taylor and two sisters, Florence (Taylor) Smith and Janet Cobb.

Roscoe was a Korean War Veteran and member of the Morgantown VFW. There will be a memorial service with full military honors on  April 18th, 2021, at 3PM at the Mt Zion  Cemetery with Chaplain Wendy Browne officiating.
