Thelma Kees

Thelma (Osborne) Kees, 91 of Arthurdale, entered into eternal rest on Friday April 12, 2013 at Ruby Memorial Hospital with her family by her side. She was born on September 13, 1921 in Worthington, WV, a daughter of the late Claude Curtiss and Fernie Peggy (Thobois) Osborne. She was a homemaker and a long-time member of the Federated Women's Club, Farm Women's Club, and the Community Presbyterian Church of Arthurdale. She is survived by a daughter, Sharon Kees of Arthurdale. She is also survived by three grandchildren; Elizabeth Anne Fretz, David Paul Gventer and wife Beth Carol and John Nathan Gventer and wife Karen Ann; and nine great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death was her husband of 66 years, Kenneth Otis Kees and one sister, Mary Elizabeth Cheney. Friends will be received at the Morgan Funeral Home, Rt. 7 East, Reedsville on Tuesday April 16, 2013 from 4 - 8 pm. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday April 17, 2013 at 1:00 pm in the funeral home's chapel with the Reverend Glen Riggleman and Reverend Steve Allman officiating. Interment will follow in Morgan Memorial Park, Reedsville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Arthurdale Heritage, Inc., P.O. Box 850, Arthurdale, WV 26520.
