Troy W. Hamrick

Troy W. Hamrick Jr. 60, of Route 1, Shinnston passed away Friday, March 15, 2013 at UHC following an extended illness. He was born December 10, 1952 in Clarksburg WV, the son of Troy Hamrick Sr. of Enterprise and the late Pauline Rouse Hamrick. He is survived by his wife of 26 years Kimberly Neely Hamrick whom he married June 12, 1986. In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters Christy Creamer of West Milford; April Gooden and husband Scott of Shinnston; two grandsons Christian Carpenter; and Ryan Gooden; one granddaughter Shallon Creamer; one sister; Sharon Jones and husband Terry of Saltwell Rd.; two nieces Rebekah Jones of Morgantown; and Sarah Jones of Michigan; one nephew; Matthew Jones and wife Kathy of Saltwell Rd; and several other nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Fred Rouse and Wilma Yates Rouse Lasure and his paternal Grandparents, Alfred and Francis Hamrick. He graduated from Shinnston High 1970 and attended Fairmont State College. He was a retired coal miner from Consol Robinson Run Local 1501 of 38 years. Family and friends will be received at Dorsey Funeral Home, 701 S. Pike St., Shinnston, from 2-8 p.m. Monday, March 18, 2013 where services will be held Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Ron Johnson officiating.
