Wilma Lee "Billie" Hill

Wilma Lee (Billie) Zinn Hill, 75, of Big Flint Road near Salem, passed away Friday, August 31, 2012 following an extended illness. She was born at Salem, WV on January 12, 1937, the daughter of the late Chester Berlin and Leona Callihan Zinn. Mrs. Hill graduated from Salem High School and Salem College with a degree in Humanics. She was employed by the Doddridge County Board of Education as secretary to the school superintendent with 25 years of service. She is survived by her husband, James Anzen Hill, whom she married on December 26, 1959 She was an active member of Liberty Baptist Church and was assistant treasurer as well as Sunday school teacher for the primary class for many years where she was known as "Miss Billie" to the children. She enjoyed music, cooking, painting, and crocheting. Also surviving are two children, Julie M. Heflin and husband Scott of Summersville, WV, and Michael Zinn Hill of West Union; five grandchildren, Robin Hill, Mariah Hill, Cassandra Hill, Lauren Heflin, and Christian Pederson; and four great-grandchildren, Braydon, Gabriel, Dylan and Jocelynn; three brothers, William Frederick "Fred" Zinn and wife Venita , Berlin "Bud "Zinn and wife Ann, and Roger Dale Zinn and wife Linda, all of Salem; one sister, Naomi "Jean" Powell of Big Flint, several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Greathouse Funeral Home in Salem on Sunday, September 2, 2012 from 2-7 PM. The funeral will be at the funeral home on Monday, September 3 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Robert Marino presiding. Interment will follow at Keys Cemetery on Big Flint Road.
