Wilma "Cissy" LaRue Obituary

Wilma Jean ”Cissy” (Plum) LaRue, 67, ran (not walked) into the arms of her Jesus on December 16,2025.

Cissy was born in Parsons, WV on January 8th, 1958, the first-born daughter of the late Walter Nathan Plum and Madonna Jean (Paugh) Plum.

Cissy was an adored wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Her love for her husband and family kept her here on this earth while her body suffered many afflictions, that most could not have endured. Her very last wish was that all her family, and everyone she loved, would give their hearts to Jesus to be with her again in eternity. Her love for Jesus and others shone till her very last precious heartbeat. She was a member of the First Apostolic Church of Tunnelton and the First Pentecostal Church of Kingwood. She worked as the office manager at the Reedsville Shop & Save for many years. She loved nothing more than spending time with her family and she absolutely loved summertime and swimming in her pool. Her absence in this world will leave behind a void on all those she left behind, but those who loved her should rejoice in knowing she received the greatest healing of all.

Cissy is survived by her loving and faithful husband of 43 years, Richard Allen LaRue Jr.; two sons, Nathan Plum (Becca) and Richie LaRue; two daughters, Madonna Minor and Michelle Moran (Justin); two grandsons, Austin Vest and Aaron Minor (Jadin); four granddaughters, Katelyn, Karagyn, Brooklyn and Lillian Moran; two great grandsons, Elijah and Malichi Minor; one great granddaughter, Delilah Minor; three brothers, Duke Plum (Carol), Al Plum (Wendy), and Sam Plum (Michelle); two sisters, Lesley Skipper (Brent), and Tracy Plum; and many nieces and nephews. Special friends of the family who were with her faithfully include Pastor Josh Burke (Danyelle) and Pastor Ray Frankhouser (Bonnie). As well as her sweet doggies Penny and Trixie.

Cissy was preceded in death by her parents and husband’s parents and her sister in law Lisa Diane LaRue.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Theresa Bolyard, (Cissy’s nurse), for her special care of Cissy for so many years.
