Clyde “Fred” Frederick Jenkins, Sr. 79 of Independence, WV passed away peacefully on Friday December 22nd, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loved ones. Fred was born May 19, 1938 in Masontown a son of Lonnie Lee and Dorothy (Strahin) Jenkins.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Lillian Marie (Shaffer) Jenkins; sons Clyde Jenkins, Jr. and wife Barbara of Masontown and Chris Jenkins and fiancé Natalie Shaffer of Independence; 7 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by: a daughter, Deborah Ridenour; granddaughter Christina Terry; and daughter-in-law Denise Jenkins.
Fred’s absolute favorite pastime was spending time with his family on the farm. He loved feeding the birds and watching wildlife. After retiring from Sterling Faucet he was the farm boss where he spent countless hours behind the wheel of his antique tractors just puttering around.

Saturday, December 30th, 2017 from 11:00 am until 1:00pm the time of the Memorial Services with Paul and Robert Bolyard officiating.
